What is UKCA?

Are you currently required to display the CE marking on your products?

Did you know that from January 2023 you will need a UK product marking for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (not Northern Ireland which has separate requirements).

UKCA is the new UK product marking, and covers most goods previously requiring the CE marking (you will still be required to display the CE marking in the EU).

We act as the UKCA authorised representative for a number of products. Please complete the form below if you would like to know more.

What is CE Marking?

CE Marking demonstrates that a product conforms with all of the legal requirements necessary to achieve CE Marking.

When is it needed?

CE Marking is Mandatory for ALL applicable products placed on the EU market. This will not change with the introduction of UKCA.

Existing CE Marking will be recognised in the UK until Jan 1st 2023

UKCA Marking will replace CE marking for products placed on the GB market after Jan 1st 2023

UKCA Marking will not be recognised on the EU market.

What is UKCA Marking?

When is it needed?

UKCA Marking will be mandatory for ALL applicable products placed on the GB market when the changes come into effect on January 1st 2023. This applies to both new and existing products.

Conformity tasks must be carried out by a UK Approved Body – such as us!
